    Peter Shirley is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Indiana University. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1990. His research interests include realistic image generation and scientific visualization.??

    Dr. Peter Shirley has worked in computer graphics for over two decades. He has a B.A. in physics from Reed College and a Ph.D. in computer science for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is the coauthor of three books and dozens of technical articles. He has worked at Indiana University, Cornell University, the University of Utah and NVIDIA Research. His professional interests include interactive and realistic rendering, statistical computing, visualization, and immersive environments.
