SIGGRAPH ASIA 2024

Takeo Igarashi is a professor at Creative Informatics department, The university of Tokyo. Igarashi received a Ph.D from the Department of Information Engineering at The University of Tokyo in 2000. He joined the Department of Computer Science as an assistant professor in 2002 and was promoted to a professor in 2011. His research interest is in user interfaces and interactive computer graphics in general. He is known for the development of a sketch-based modeling system (Teddy) and a multi-touch shapde deformation method. He led a JST ERATO project and a JST CREST project as a director. He received the SIGGRAPH Significant New Researcher Award, JSPS Award, and CHI Academy Award.

SIGGRAPH ASIA 2013

Takeo Igarashi is also directing JST ERATO Igarashi Design Interface Project. He received Ph.D from department of information engineering, the University of Tokyo in March, 2000. His research interest is in user interface in general and current focus is on interaction techniques for 3D graphics. He is known as the inventor of Teddy (sketch-based 3D modeling) in graphics. He received ACM SIGGRAPH 2006 significant new researcher award. Visit http://www-ui.is.s.u-tokyo.ac.jp/~takeo for more info.

SIGGRAPH Asia 2009

Takeo Igarashi has been working on user interfaces and interactive computer graphics for several years. He is known as the inventor of Teddy, a sketch-based 3D modeling system. He received the 2006 ACM SIGGRAPH Significant New Researcher award for his work on interactive techniques.
