Bio:

    Franklin C. Crow is a member of the research staff in the Computer Science Laboratory at the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center. Before joining Xerox, he held faculty positions in computer science at the University of Texas (Austin) and Ohio State University and did extensive consulting in the commercial computer animation industry. His research interests include computer graphics, three-dimensional modeling, animation and hardware architectures supporting graphics and interactive techniques. Crow holds a B.A. in mathematics from the University of Wisconsin and a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Utah. He is a member of the IEEE and ACM. He serves on the editorial board for IEEE’s Computer Graphics and Applications. Crow has served as instructor and/or chairman for a number of the SIGGRAPH courses on raster graphics and image synthesis over the past few years.
