Title:

    Advanced Image Synthesis

Course Organizer(s):

Presenter(s)/Author(s):

Abstract:

    Who should attend?

    This course is intended to bring professionals new to the field up-to-date on the current techniques used in image rendering systems.

    Recommended background

    Some experience in computer graphics and a basic understanding of three-dimensional geometry are required.

    Course description

    This course will cover the techniques used in rendering polygonal and curved surfaces and will discuss the systems aspects of complex image rendering algorithms. Lecturers will demonstrate how several different rendering algorithms work together to create the desired image. Texturing, anti-aliasing and ray tracing techniques will be covered.
