    Edward Angel is a professor of computer science and electrical and computer engineering at the University of New Mexico. He has been teaching and doing research in computer graphics, image processing, and scientific visualization for over 25 years. At UNM, he is the first Presidential Teaching Fellow. He is the author of “Interactive Computer Graphics, A Top-down Approach with OpenGL” Second Edition (Addison-Wesley, 2000), which has been adopted by over 200 schools. He has taught over 100 professional short courses worldwide, including at the annual SIGGRAPH conference.

He is the author of the recent textbook: Interactive Computer Graphics: A Top-Down Approach with OpenGL (Addison-Wesley, 1997). He has taught approximately 100 professional short courses worldwide including at SIGGRAPH.
