Nick Foster
Bio:
SIGGRAPH 1999
Nick Foster is a member of PDI’s Research and Development department. A graduate from the University of Pennsylvania, Foster holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science with an emphasis on animating liquids and gases. A recognized expert in the field of animating water for computer graphics, Foster has published several academic papers on the subject, and received a 1998 Technical Achievement Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences recognising his work. Prior to pursuing his graduate degrees in the United States, Foster worked as a detector systems developer at a nuclear power station in Grenoble, France.
