SIGGRAPH 1993
Sumit Das is a PhD. candidate at the Electronic Visualization Laboratory(EVL) at the University of Illinois at Chicago(UIC). He is currently researching sonification and physically-based sound production. Das obtained a MS and a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UIC. He studied jazz violin at Berklee College of Music for two years and played in several local orchestras. Das has played violin, bass, and guitar in various bands. He is interested in the relationship between visuals and audio, and has done a number of sound tracks for video and computer graphics projects at EVL.
