Salim Abi-Ezzi is a research scientist with the Center for Interactive Computer Graphics and a PhD candidate in the computer science department at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York. His research interests include computer graphics, in particular graphics standards and special-purpose hardware for graphics. Salim received his BS in computer science from the University of Lowell in 1982, and his MS in computer science from RPI in 1984. He is a member of ANSC Technical Committee X3H3 for computer graphics, and is directly involved with the PHIGS task group of that committee. He is also involved with the PHIGS+ extension effort.
