Bio:

  • Leslie Nobler is an Art Professor at William Paterson University of NJ and a digital printmaker, surface designer and book artist. She exhibits internationally including New York City’s Visual Arts Museum Digital Salon, Parsons, Phoenix and Nexus Gallery; Athenaeum Museum, Midwives and Silicon Gallery all of Philadelphia; Noyes Art Museum, Morris Museum, Montclair Art Museum (all NJ); Old Main Art Museum (AZ), Kemper Museum of Art (MO), New Orleans Uptown JCC Gallery, Afrigraphics Pretoria, Eurographics Montreaux and Barcelona, Nanjing Art Institute, and the International Digital Art Award’s Traveling Exhibition Australia and China. Nobler’s work has been chosen for the prestigious SIGGRAPH Art Gallery (Los Angeles) and the International Symposium on Digital Art in Bangkok and London.

    Her recent solo exhibitions include Farleigh Dickenson University Metro (NY/NJ) Campus, Washington Art Association New Media Space, Karpeles Manuscript Museum (NY), NJ Jewish Heritage Museum and Johnson & Johnson World Headquarters Gallery in New Brunswick. Her work has appeared and been reviewed in New York Times, NJ Star-Ledger, Surface Design, Jewish Standard, Fiber Arts International, The Review/Midwest, Australian Design, Professional Artist, The Jewish Week, and Art Times. She was recently awarded two grants to study and apply her research on historical artisan-made books to her work in book arts and printmaking. Leslie Nobler received her BFA from the University of Michigan School of Art, and her MFA from Hunter College (CUNY).
