Bio:

  • SIGGRAPH 1999

    Nadine Miner received a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of New Mexico, a MS in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology and a PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of New Mexico. Ms. Miner has been a member of the technical staff at Sandia National Laboratories since 1987 and has conducted research in audio and control systems for virtual environments for six years. Her research focus is on the efficient synthesis of realistic environmental sounds for virtual environments. Other research interests include cross- and multi-modal systems, and psychoacoustic experimentation to validate the effectiveness of synthesized sounds.
