Bio:

  • SIGGRAPH 1999

    Milos Sramek received his Ing (MSc) degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Slovak Technical University, Bratislava, Slovakia, in 1982. Since 1988 he has been a member of the research team at the Institute of Measurement Science, Slovak Academy of Sciences, Bratislava, Slovakia. Since 1991 to 1997 he simultaneously worked at the Institute of Information Processing of the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Vienna, Austria, on different projects in the area of medical imaging and remote sensing. In 1996 he finished and defended his PhD thesis ”Visualization of Volumetric Data by Ray Tracing” at the Vienna University of Technology, Austria. Currently he is in a post-doc position at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, USA. His research interests include image processing, 2D and 3D data segmentation and visualization, voxelization and volume rendering algorithms.
