Presenter(s)/Author(s):

Abstract:

    Prerequisites
    Basic understanding of ray tracing and the most commonly used global illumination algorithms, such as path-tracing and photon-mapping.

    Topics
    Caching and reusing shaded pixels. Using temporal coherence for global illumination. Enhancing animated lighting solutions. Interactive global illumination using a ray-tracing API. Advanced global illumination.

    Description
    The most recent research advances and industrial technologies for simulation of global illumination in animated scenes. This course provides better understanding of the issues raised by such simulations and a quick overview of the most up-to-date techniques for solving them.
