SIGGRAPH 2012, in collaboration with Leonardo/ISAST, features not only artists and artwork, but also the processes and theoretical frameworks for making art and contextualizing its place in society. Art Papers:
In addition to core topics related to digital arts and interactive techniques, Art Papers can also explore the theme of SIGGRAPH 2012’s juried Art Gallery: In Search of the Miraculous.
Authors present Art Papers in 20-minute sessions with five minutes of Q&A. The papers are published in a special issue of Leonardo, The Journal of the International Society of the Arts, Sciences and Technology. The issue also includes visual documentation of the works exhibited in the Art Gallery. Publication of this fourth special issue coincides with SIGGRAPH 2012.
