Kristee Rosendahl currently works at the Apple Multimedia Lab in San Francisco as one of the Principal Designers for their experimental products and design examples. She focuses on the interface elements of a project from the look and feel of the software to the packaging of the concept.
Previous to working at the Lab, she managed the Design group within Apple’s Human Interface Group. The Design group was responsible for designing visual interface elements and generating prototypes of new graphical interfaces. Her particular area of research was in designing metaphorical and visual interfaces for navigation through large databases.
She has been involved in the design of products such as the MacintoshII, AppleShare and HyperCard. Kristee was one the of the original members of the HyperCard team and was responsible for the “Ideas” disk and graphics for the manual and on-line help.
Her background is as a Graphic Designer. Prior to coming to Apple in 1984, she had 10 years of graphic design experience working with Bay Area advertising agencies and heading her own Graphic Design firm. Ms. Rosendahl graduated from Stanford University with a BA in Graphic Design and attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.
