    Esther Dyson (strategic thinker, analyst, investor, activist, and prominent citizen of the international digital-technology community) presents the SIGGRAPH 2002 keynote address. Dyson was the founding chair of ICANN, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers. She is currently chairman of EDventure Holdings, which publishes the monthly technology-industry newsletter, “Release 1.0,” and sponsors two influential annual conferences on technical and social systems.
