Abstract:
To achieve unobtrusive interactivity in rich multimedia applications, techniques such as level-of-detail control and fixed frame rate schedulers are commonly used. However, the former technique does not guarantee a bounded frame rate while the latter may not be straightforward to implement. We present an approach to interactive rendering of complex and dynamic virtual environment with very high accuracy in frame rate control using the Proportional, Integral and Derivative technique.
