Abstract:
The delivery and interactive rendering and segmentation of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data over the web for the Digital Fish Library (DFL) project poses specific challenges in both complexity of the application and with the size of the data sets. We describe how to develop such an application, the required infrastructure, and the integration with a web site using the NX compression scheme [Pinzari 2003] in a novel way.
