Abstract:

The eVokability Interactive Costume is a project to develop wearable devices that sense movement and voice, and also focuses on developing the media that is interactively generated when wearing the devices. Geared toward wearers with disabilities, eVokability amplifies the participant’s physical and vocal expression, transmitting that expression across visual, sonic and textual planes. eVokability engenders an intimate performative setting between a wearer and one or more partners.
