“Emo System: a Public Message System to Share Emotional Information”

The emo system is a proposal of a message system that supports a sense of togetherness among company workers. In this research, we focus on informal information exchanges mainly located on the rest stations of office environment. We intend to produce a sense of togetherness among people by disclosing a part of emotional information involved in an exchanged message that is shared among several rest stations connected by network. Not only a sender and a receiver of a message but also the other members of the organization can share the same emotional message. Our final purpose is to raise the affiliation consciousness of company members to keep their high motivation by encouraging a sense of togetherness through everyday communication
