    This tutorial is aimed at providing an understanding of the Graphics Standards Report and its effect on new systems. There will be two groups formed – one of managers, and one of programmers. The managers’ section will concentrate on evaluation of general-purpose graphics packages and the effect standards have on management of a project. The programmers’ section is for those who wish a fairly detailed exposure to the background, philosophy, and important techniques and algorithms useful in implementing a device-independent graphics package.
