    Description
The course on important technical principles, such as 3D tracking on mobile devices and coherent rendering of real and virtual content, guides attendees through the design space afforded by these new technologies. Course presenters are AR pioneers, each with 20 years of experience in the research field. Among their numerous contributions are the first mobile AR system and the first collaborative AR system. They have authored a textbook on augmented reality, which will be presented by Pearson/Addison-Wesley at SIGGRAPH 2016. Complementary teaching materials are made available online to help instructors worldwide who want to include AR in their undergraduate and graduate courses.
