Abstract:

This sketch presents a system for generating a short narrated animation of highway traffic conditions in a large metropolitan area at a particular moment in time. The task is very challenging: an animated sequence ready for broadcast must be produced with- in minutes after collecting the most recent traffic data from sensors placed along the roads, police reports, etc.
