RV-Border Guards is a collaborative shooting game based on state-of-the- art mixed-reality (MR) technology, which seamlessly merges real and virtual worlds. Three players wearing see-through head-mounted displays earn points by shooting virtual invaders. They are armed with virtual gear (helmets and guns) and can intuitively interact with the MR space using gestures. The system is also designed so that the audience can experience and enjoy the MR entertainment by viewing the entire game field on large monitors. This demonstration of MR technology surpasses conventional virtual reality technology and illustrates a quantum leap in the field of entertainment.
