Today Android and Windows phones and tablets, as well as iOS devices and many other things in your hands are actually a full-blown, general-purpose computers. Even though these may be dirt-cheap phones, for many people in emerging markets these would be their first computer. So in this talk we will characterize the opportunities and limitations of mobile thru the perspective of the industry-adopted compute APIs.
