Artist Statement:
The Museum of the Microstar is an interactive narrative short and technology demonstration. It was awarded the top prize in the Unity DirectX11 competition, run by Unity Technologies.
The Museum of the Microstar is a massive corporate museum which chronicles mankind’s disastrous history of energy technology. It was built by HEDRON, the hegemonic mega-corporation of the future.
The piece has two modes. In “First Person Mode” you can explore the museum and listen to the history enshrined within. In “Fly-through Mode” you can watch and listen to a narrated fly-through explaining some of the technology that went into the project.
