Description:
The Dow Scrubbing Bubbles animation was to be a showpiece for Cranston Csuri Productions character animation ability. Murthy redesigned existing software to calculate ray-traced bubbles in various sizes and then use the images to simulate bubbles in the environment. Mike wrote a program to interface the motion in 3-D with the 2-D bubbles. Karan developed the animated foam and “clean” surface. Pete, Jean and Ruedy worked outlighting, color and motion schemes to unify the design concept. Mike Collery, CCP creative coordinator; Steve Martino, producer; Jean Cunningham, Pete Carswell, Ruedy Leman, animators; Thomas Barham, client’s art director; Kamran Manoocheri and Murthy Bhetanabhotia, software development. Calculated on Pyramids’ and VAX/780’s, designed on SUN2’s, motion tested on a PS300 using CC proprietary software. Since this animation was to launch CCP’s character animation, it is an appropriate final “Good Bye” to all the people that pooled their creative and technical talents for CCP.
