Abstract:
Film productions rapidly go fully digital. Film shootings with more and more computer equipment present at location and digital post-production are part of the daily life of film-makers nowadays. Within the scope of this poster the modelling of the digital workflow of the “NIJINSKI” project (produced by Kinoproduction Oy, Helsinki, Finland) is presented. The film is a fully digital, one hour dance production in HD currently under production. Workflows in digital television (e.g [Lugmayr, Niiranen et al. 2004]) are highly researched, but in film it is still rather new. * The film is about the life of VASLAV NIJINSKI, a polish borne dancer and choreographer who innovated dancing as an art form. The dancer spent the last years of his life in a mental hospital suffering from schizophrenia. During this time he was writing his diary. The film is about the last years in NIJINSKI’S life and his diary entries [Helsingin Sanomat 2006].
