Web Software Developer and Support – Job Description

Purpose: To work in a team to develop and enhance an innovative online digital archive. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  •     problem-solving, coding and debugging
  •     build custom data types and fields
  •     write code to create relationships between data
  •     design coded templates
  •     customize the visual interface
  •     enhance analytics, security and search functions
  •     data management and custom plug-in development

Secondary responsibilities

  •     Usability testing and assessment
  •     implement advanced features

 Qualifications

  •     Experience customizing themes and programming in a WordPress environment
  •     HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, Ajax or equivalent skills
  •     Ability to work with MySQL databases
  •     Excellent problem-solving skills
  •     Ability to work as a team
  •     Must be reliable, trustworthy, meet deadlines and be able to work independently

  •     This job is part-time and remote with flexible hours. You must have a reliable internet connection and be willing to use Zoom, Google Drive, Github, Trello and other online communications.  
  •     We will train highly motivated people that have basic programming and great problem-solving skills.
