Bio:
Moisés is currently applying his design expertise as UX Design Manager at Amazon Lab126, where he focuses on aligning design strategy and vision with customer needs in the computer vision, AI and devices space. His passion is bringing together interdisciplinary teams that work on transformative technologies, while applying a human and customer centered approach to humanize and scale technology that removes friction from everyday people’s lives.
Beforehand, Moises was a Design Manager on AWS, where he focused on simplifying encryption processes and helped to streamline cloud storage management based on jobs to be done. Prior to that, Moises was Head of Product Design at Element, where he led efforts to design SaaS products used to lead digital transformation in the industrial space. He has also been a Sr. User Experience Designer in the consumer space at Google, Facebook and innovative design firms like LUNAR Design and Hot Studio in San Francisco, where he lead UX Design for smart home products, like Ecobee. While in grad school Moises collaborated with curators at the Oakland Museum of California, where he oversaw creative and UX direction of educational media designed for a vast variety of visitors. He contributed interactive content and partnered with organizations like the Stanford Spatial History Project to develop visualizations.
Moisés completed his MFA studies at Academy of Art University in Interactive Design & New Media, where he graduated with honors, and holds degrees in Design and Computer Applications Programming from the University of Notre Dame.
