    Who should attend?

    This course will appeal primarily to those experienced in computer graphics who want to know how graphics relate to systems with Very Large Scale Integration.

    Recommended background

    Some familiarity with computer graphics, including the basic organization of graphics systems, is suggested.

    Course description

    This course will present talks on the state-of-the-art by experts in two areas: the use of interactive graphics for VLSI design and the use of VLSI for dramatically increasing the price/performance of computer graphics systems. Course attendees will receive copies of speakers visuals and a copy of Selected Reprints on VLSI Technologies and Computer Graphics (IEEE catalog number EH0204-8), a 490-page volume of reprints of important papers in these two areas.
