Abstract:
During the next 5-10 years, text and graphics systems will tend to merge because of the demand for a more productive man/ machine interface, falling memory costs and the avail- ability of higher performance VLSI controllers. This panel discusses video controllers, memory components and their architectures, graphic systems configurations and the evolution of enhanced system performance versus reduced system cost.
