Abstract:
As a leading sector in terms of advanced and state-of-the-art technologies, Korea’s game industry has recently emerged as a high value-added industry. Overall, regardless of one’s mental or emotional state, a game is controlled solely by the user’s physical operations [1]. Therefore, its side effects, such as Internet game addiction, have become a material social problem. To solve this, games have been developed that take advantage of Kansei engineering factors, such as virtual reality, brain waves, sounds and vibrations. With the adoption of a brain wave-based alarming system, game addictions could perhaps be avoided through monitoring the user’s brain waves. It is possible to develop this type of brain wave-based control system.
