Abstract:
To provide greater speed and flexibility in processing geophysical exploration data, a unique interactive graphic terminal has been developed. Applications include seismic data display with zoom and translation, frequency analysis and filtering, and data correction and modification. Directly interfaced to an IBM 370, model 165 computer, this terminal provides instant access to central computational capabilities, coupled with comprehensive display facilities at the terminal itself. Through the terminal, the user views his results dynamically during processing and iteratively modifies control parameters until those results are optimum.
