Abstract:
We improve physically based differentiable rendering by introducing a recursive control variate into the optimization loop. This exploits the redundancy in the computation involved at every optimization step and alleviates issues that arise from differentiating loss functions with respect to noisy inputs — an often overlooked issue in differentiable rendering.
