Abstract:
Over the span of more than twenty years, Weta Digital has brought numerous memorable digital characters to the screen. For the feature film Rampage, we leveraged those two decades of experience and improved upon existing internal methods to bring to life contemporary versions of monsters inspired by the 1986 Midway arcade game. The destruction wrought by these creatures also prompted the creation of a highly-detailed debris field in the middle of present day Chicago, where the finale of the story takes place.
