Abstract:

The system comprises geographic information of Topographic, Geologic, Soils distribution, Present land use, Potential land use and Climatic charts produced by CETENAL and a set of programs written in FORTRAN IV, including a flexible access language easy to master. It is therefore a Geographic Data Bank, whose information may be consulted and manipulated by many kinds of users. It is possible to improve and update the CDB (CENTENAL’S Data Bank). The CDB is of great help in planification projects directed towards the control of the development of our nation.
