Title:

Efficient Rendering of Glossy Surfaces by Interpolating Prefiltered Environment Maps Depending on Primary Normals

Abstract:

We propose a method to improve the rendering speed of metal surfaces with normal distribution using prefiltering. Environment maps are generated depending on the primary normals by prefiltering, and they are interpolated smoothly to achieve high accuracy while maintaining the rendering speed.
