Abstract:


    SIGGRAPH ’79’s CAD Tutorial has speakers from both industry and industrial application-oriented academe. Each has had personal experience with a CAD system and brings with him a wealth of information.

    This tutorial covers key issues in selection, design, and implementation of CAD systems. The first day focuses on getting contemporary and available technology to work for you and includes CAD economics, system design, mini-computer systems, and data-base considerations. The second day covers person-machine interaction, geometric modeling and the future of CAD.
