Title:

    A Practical Introduction to Frequency Analysis of Light Transport

Course Organizer(s):

Presenter(s)/Author(s):

Abstract:

    Prerequisites
    Basic understanding of physically based rendering.

    Level
    Intermediate

    Intended Audience
    Off-line and real-time rendering engineers, as well as computer graphics students or enthusiasts.

    Description
    Frequency analysis of light transport enables physically based rendering using signal processing tools. It is tailored to predict sampling rate, perform denoising or anti-aliasing, etc. Many methods have been proposed to deal with specific cases of light transport (motion, lenses, etc). This course aims to introduce concepts and present practical applications of frequency analysis of light transport in a unified context. To ease the understanding of theoretical elements, frequency analysis is introduced with an implementation.
