Description:

Atmospheric science researchers pursue a better understanding of severe thunderstorm features in on effort to improve weather prediction. Special observing programs ore coupled with numerical modeling studies to explore the relationship between these features and larger scale weather conditions. Scientists can interactively explore downburst evolution near the ground through a coupled model by interpreting ond comparing downburst model dota with 3D storm/mesoscale model data.
