Description:
This animation demonstrates transformations of architectural design. The video shows buildings designed by two great architects, Gottfried Semper and Le Corbusier, and the emergence of new designs using a novel modeling system to compute design trans-formations. The modeling system, based on design grammars, captures the essence of architectural styles and computes their transformation.
Hardware:
Linux PCs
Software:
The building models were created with the CityEngine (proprietary software). Rendering was done using Maya 6. Post-processing with After Effects 6.
