Description:
This series of futuristic stories, written by Kozy Watanabe, narrates the life of teenage Japanese girls with broadband mobile phones. We were able to produce Japanese-style animation by using a full 3D computer-graphics approach. We used various animation software, including 3D Studio Max, Ink’n Paint (courtesy of Blur Studio), Discreet combustion, and Adobe After Effects, running on dual Pentium3 PCs. Optical-based motion capture systems were used to animate the CG characters.
