Description:

Dies Irae, or Day of Wrath, is a surrealistic look at the chaos that ensued during the height of the Bubonic Plague in mid-14th-century Europe. Thepiece reflects a fundamental irony from the perspective of the plague victim. It takes the viewer through the terrifying experience of a plague victim who is not dead. The concept of the medieval wheel of fate symbolizes the inevitability of the victim’s demise.
