Abstract:

There are many traditional word games that use text, in Japan. Especially, RENGA is one of the most creative example of these. A number of people alternately write down words that are part of a poem. There are several styles of RENGA, the most favored style in the Edo period was a chain consisting of 36 verses. We Japanese traditionally enjoy the relations between words and feelings. We pay attention to this characteristic play of words. Today many people write in weblogs. Tens of thousands of articles are written everyday. We made them like a huge RENGA, so we created the Algorithm of that into the present internet.
