SIGGRAPH 2008
Florence Bertails is a young tenured researcher at INRIA Rhone-Alpes in Grenoble, France. A graduate from the Telecommunication Engineering School of INP Grenoble, she received in 2002 a MSc in Image, Vision and Robotics, and completed in 2006 a PhD on hair simulation at INP Grenoble. She worked at the University of British Columbia as a postdoctoral researcher, before joining INRIA in September 2007 as a permanent researcher. Her research interests deal with the modeling and the simulation of complex mechanical objects, mainly for graph- ics applications. She presented her work at international conferences such as the ACM-EG Symposium of Computer Animation, Eurographics, and SIGGRAPH.
