    Mario Botsch is Professor for Computer Science at TU Dortmund University, where he heads the Computer Graphics Group. His research interests include geometry processing in general, and discrete differential geometry in particular. He is an experienced speaker and lecturer, received several awards for his research, and got 17 teaching awards from Bielefeld University and TU Dortmund University. He organized and presented well-received courses at SIGGRAPH and Eurographics. The SIGGRAPH 2007 course notes won the Best Course Notes award and later led to the book “Polygon Mesh Processing”.
