    Michael Wimmer is an associate professor at the Institute of Computer Graphics and Algorithms of the Vienna University of Technology, where he received an M.Sc. in 1997 and a Ph.D. in 2001. His current research interests are real-time rendering, computer games, real-time visualization of urban environments, point-based rendering and procedural modeling. He has coauthored many papers in these fields, and was papers co-chair of EGSR 2008 and Pacific Graphics 2012, and is associate editor of Computers & Graphics.??
