The IBM RISC System/6000, the newest member of the AIX product family, offers the greatest scalability of UNIX solutions from the PS/2 to the powerful IBM 3090-600J Supercomputer. IBM features solutions from IBM Business Partners, technology from IBM Research and a rich set of graphical interfaces to enable applications for the AIX open systems environment.

IBM will be demonstrating some of its graphics products capabilities, hardware and software. Featured in the exhibit will be: the Device Attachment Control Unit (DACU) attached to a 4341 computing system and supported by an RPI Graphics Laboratory demonstration program; the 3277 Graphics Attachment based direct numerical control application supported by a Princeton University Interactive Computer Graphics Laboratory demonstration program; the IBM Personal Computer based color graphics; and the 7350 Image Processing system.

SIGGRAPH 1979

The IBM 3277 Graphics Attachment is an innovative approach to graphics using a dual workstation driven by the IBM 3277 Model 2 Display Station under IBM Graphics Software. Graphics information is displayed on a DVST which is attached to an IBM 3277. User productivity in graphics is much enhanced by this approach. Vector graphics for engineering and busi- ness applications is supported by the IBM software.
