    NEC Home Electronics is displaying its most recent line of color monitors including the MacSync, MultiSync 2A, and MultiSync 3D.

    SIGGRAPH 1988

    NEC Home Electronics will display a new product category with two CD ROM products and accompanying software. In addition, NEC will show its two monochrome: the 14-inch MultiSync GS and the 16-inch Monograph System, designed for desktop publishing. Also displayed will be the popular MultiSync II, the MultiSync Plus, and the 19″ MultiSync XL.

    NEC will introduce the MultiSync Color Graphics Board GB-2. The GB-2 is capable of 1024×768 resolution, 16 or 256 simultaneous colors. NEC will also feature the MultiSync Color Graphics Board GB-1—with the MultiSync color monitor; the MultiSync Plus, a 14″ CRT color monitor with 960×720 resolution; and the MultiSync XL, a 19″ CRT color monitor with 1024×768 resolution.

    NEC imaging/graphics semiconductors include: the uPD7220A, a high-performance graphic display controller; the uPD4 l 264, a 256K Dual Port Video RAM which teams with 7220A to eliminate CPU-graphics-memory bottlenecks; the uPD4 l 221, a 256K Serial Access Memory; and the uPD7281, the first non-von Neumann Image Pipelined Processor.

    SIGGRAPH 1983

    NEC Information Systems, Inc. will be demonstrating the NEC APC 16-bit microcomputer supporting the NEC μpd722O Graphic Display Controller. The graphic resolution provided is 1024 X 1024 pixels, of which a movable 640 X 475 pixel “window” can be displayed. Development tools, scientific and business graphic applications running under CP/M-86™, MSDOS, and the UCSD p-system with peripheral support of dot matrix and ink jet color printers, plotters and 35 mm camera will be shown. Digitizer, mouse and keyboard input is supported.
