Michael Schwarz
Bio:
SIGGRAPH ASIA 2015
Michael Schwarz worked at Esri R&D; Center Zurich on the next generation of procedural modeling systems, researching and developing novel approaches such as CGA++. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and also worked at Max-Planck-Institut Informatik, Arizona State University, and Cornell University, as well as a researcher at Weta Digital.

Michael Schwarz received a Diploma in 2005 and a Ph.D. in 2009 from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. His graphics-related research interests include real-time computer graphics, GPU techniques, global illumination, procedural modeling, scalable approaches, and perception-aware graphics.

Michael Schwarz is currently finishing his PhD at the Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, where he received a diploma in computer science in 2005. He worked within the multi-disciplinary European Union project CROSSMOD, focusing on real-time soft shadows, among others. More generally, his research interests include real-time computer graphics, GPU techniques, global illumination, level-of-detail approaches, and perception-aware graphics.
